He completed his speciality training in Ophthalmology at the General Hospital S. A. S. Jerez de la Frontera, and subsequently completed his training in Madrid, Seville and London (1993-1996). He began his career as Head of different hospitals managed by the health company José Manuel Pascual Pascual S. A. Since 2004 Dr. Ruiz is in charge of the Medical Department of the Eye Clinic OFTALVIST placed in Andalucía. Nowadays, he is the Head Manager of twelve Eye Clinics with more than 30 surgeons. In it, he makes healthcare and perform more than 1.000 surgical procedures every year, cataract, lens exchange, ICR, phakic lenses, femtolasik, ... Dr. Ruiz Mesa is an active researcher who has participated and participates in several multicenter studies, both national and international, about Premium Lenses. He has authored or co-authored more than 30 scientific articles and more than 100 communications to national and international conferences. He is also author and co-author of five books of cataract surgery and refractive surgery. Dr Ruiz belongs to the following Scientific Societies: Spanish Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (SECOIR), Andalusian Society of Ophthalmology (SAO), Spanish Society of Ophthalmology (SEO), European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ESCRS), American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), International Society of Refractive Surgery (ISRS).
